Plant Medicine and Microdosing for Empowered Wellness
Plants and fungi have been our teachers and allies for millennia. Humans and animals have evolved alongside plants and fungi, and we have learned from them and leaned on them to support our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being on the sometimes-wild ride of life. For example, all mammals have evolved with receptors that are sensitive to the cannabinoids (THC, CBD, etc) in the plant Cannabis sativa – this system of receptors is now known as the Endocannabinoid System, and is the master regulatory system of the body, managing balance or homeostasis of all body systems.
Some plant and fungal medicines can be safely used as food and integrated into your daily life with ease. For instance, adaptogens are certain plants and fungi that increase resiliency and resistance to internal and external stressors, effectively normalizing the body’s functions and ability to adapt. Other medicinal plants and fungi can provide stronger medicine that can be psychoactive, toxic, or even lethal. A plant medicine consultation can assist you to safely navigate these medicines so that you are aware of their benefits and risks.
Green Network Providers' expert practitioners can provide education and guidance on navigating various types of plant and functional mushroom medicines. We can assist you with initiation and maintenance of herbal practices to optimize wellness, including regular intake of nourishing herbs, plants (including cannabis), and how to make food your medicine with mushrooms and adaptogenic plants. We will also assess and discuss potential plant-medication interactions to avoid.
Microdosing is a practice that has helped many to manage conditions that can be difficult to live with, such as mild depression, persistent migraine headaches, chronic pain, and others. Very low, subthreshold doses of cannabis and certain mushrooms can be an effective tool for accessing and maintaining radical and empowered wellness. Together we can discuss the pros and cons of microdosing and create an individualized plan for your unique healing path.
No plant medicine will be provided during Plant Medicine Consultations, these are education and guidance consultations only.
